Happy Mondays Report – 17 August
Reporter: Steve Bird
Firstly, a warm welcome to Keith Edwards who has recently joined our group and will be playing most Mondays and Fridays.
A total of sixteen players made up two teams of 4, two of 3 and one of 2. Again, a good turnout because 16 of our group were playing in the interclub match.
The morning commenced with welcome drizzle and continued overcast with little or no breeze.
The winning team was that of Colin Chisnall, Eric Cox and Alan Thomas with a remarkable average score of 34.3.
Joint runners up were the teams of Bennett, Crail and Yates and Bird, Bocquet, Edwards and White with scores of 29. Top scorers for the day were Eric and Colin with 37 each. A commendable score of 35 by Kevin ‘three trees’ (you ask him) Bocquet was third highest individual score.
